Top speed did nothing and the hood only ran on low. The control board had cooked itself. He also found the roof cap crushed by hail years back, so nothing could get out. Both sorted.

Clicking kept going long after every burner lit, for hours unless we shut the gas off. A spark switch beneath one knob had stuck from an old boil-over. Silent now, and he cleaned the others.

Door hung crooked in our 1950s ranch kitchen and heat leaked past the seal onto the cabinet face. Hinge springs had gone slack. Fresh springs plus a gasket and it sits flush again. Cleanup was a bit rough.
